Dr. Stefanos Kalogirou completed his doctoral degree in marine ecology at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. His thesis focus on how different fish species utilizes the various shallow habitats during different life stages, as for example reproduction, recruitment and foraging, and under the establishment of non-indigenous species of Indo-Pacific and Red Sea origin. Dr. Stefanos Kalogirou was the first to quantitatively describe the fish assemblage structure of Posidonia oceanica meadows and sandy habitats in the eastern Mediterranean Sea.
Dr. Stefanos Kalogirou earned his Doctoral, Masters and Bachelors degree in marine ecology from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.
He has contributed to 14 papers in peer-reviewed journals, 1 book chapter, as well as more than 20 other publications (i.e. conference proceedings, special publications, newspaper and magazine articles) and co-authored more than 10 technical reports.
